Category: Comparisons
Compare the Cinderella & Prince Charming doll and the Encanto Madrigal Sisters set on price, theme, and display appeal to decide which Jim Shore piece fits your collection.
Quick answer
Choose the Encanto Madrigal Sisters set if you want a family-focused, multicharacter display piece and the stronger catalog discount; choose Cinderella & Prince Charming if you prefer a classic romantic pairing and a lower upfront price. Both are Jim Shore Disney Traditions pieces introduced in January 2024, so the decision comes down to theme and budget rather than release date.
Price and value: where the discount lands
The Madrigal Sisters set lists at $77.69 against a $110.99 comparison price, while Cinderella & Prince Charming lists at $68.39 against $94.99. The absolute saving is larger on the Encanto set, but the Cinderella piece costs less to start. If you are building a display on a strict budget, the lower entry price may matter more than the percentage saved.
Theme and display: family group vs romantic pair
The Encanto piece shows Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel together, each with her own style, and the design celebrates familia love. That makes it a natural centerpiece for a shelf where you want a group narrative. Cinderella & Prince Charming is a two-figure romantic scene tied to the 75th anniversary of the Cinderella story, with Cinderella in her blue ballgown and Prince Charming in a regal robe. It suits a classic princess display or a wedding-themed arrangement.
What the catalog does not tell you
Neither listing supplies dimensions, weight, or edition size, so you cannot compare footprint or scarcity from the catalog alone. If shelf space is tight, check the product page for measurements before ordering, or plan to display the piece where its size will not crowd neighboring figures.
Key trade-offs to weigh
- Upfront cost vs discount depth: Cinderella & Prince Charming costs less today ($68.39 vs $77.69), but the Encanto set carries the larger absolute markdown ($33.30 vs $26.60). Decide whether your priority is the lowest checkout total or the biggest perceived saving.
- Character count and narrative: The Encanto set gives you three sisters in one piece, which reads as a family story; the Cinderella piece gives you a couple, which reads as a romance. Match the piece to the story you want your display to tell.
- Anniversary vs ensemble appeal: Cinderella & Prince Charming is tied to the 75th anniversary of the Cinderella story, while the Encanto piece focuses on the sisters' contrasting personalities. If anniversary editions matter to you, lean Cinderella; if character variety matters, lean Encanto.
