Quick answer
If you want a posable, affordable DC hero for play or display, go with the DC Champion Class line. If you prefer a larger, more detailed build with extensive articulation and screen-accurate accessories, the Legend Edition delivers a premium experience.
What sets these lines apart
Blokees has two main build-kit lines for collectors: DC Champion Class and Legend Edition. Champion Class kits are smaller, tool-free, and focus on core characters with solid articulation at a lower price. Legend Edition kits are larger, more complex, and include more pieces for deeper detail and a wider range of motion.
Articulation and poseability
Both lines offer impressive articulation for build kits. DC Champion Class figures like Superman 2025 feature a super-articulated internal frame with multi-segment shoulders and double-jointed knees. Legend Edition kits like the Evangelion Type-08α take it further with full-body infinite articulation, allowing for even more dynamic poses. The trade-off is that Legend Edition kits have more pieces and can be slightly more complex to assemble.
Accessories and display options
Champion Class kits often include character-specific accessories and swappable hands, as seen with Moon Knight. Legend Edition kits come with complete weapons and accessories for iconic scene reproduction. For example, the Evangelion Type-08α includes a full set of weapons. The Batman Beyond Champion Class kit also offers a unique dual-mode armor feature, letting you swap back armor and attach wings for a second form.
Trade-offs at a glance
- DC Champion Class (e.g., Superman 2025, Batman Beyond): Smaller piece count (93-123 pieces), tool-free assembly, great articulation for the price, includes character-specific accessories and sometimes swappable parts. Best for collectors who want a quick build with solid poseability and a lower price point.
- Legend Edition (e.g., Evangelion Type-08α): Larger piece count (258 pieces), full-body infinite articulation, complete weapons and accessories, pre-painted parts, and an exclusive skeleton for complex poses. Ideal for builders who enjoy a more involved assembly and want maximum articulation for display.
- Dual-mode Champion Class (Batman Beyond): 123 pieces with dual-mode armor: swap back armor and attach wings for a second form. Tool-free assembly, superb articulation, and rich accessories. Offers extra play and display value within the Champion Class line without jumping to Legend Edition complexity.
